Reporting into our Driller and Rig Manager, we are seeking Assistant Drillers and Offsiders who are reliable, hardworking and have a proactive attitude towards safety to join our team on a full-time, fixed term basis.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE:
You will support senior rig crew members in the daily operations of a rig by assisting in the maintenance and operation of drilling equipment, tools and support vehicles.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Hold a current HR Truck Licence (minimum requirement - essential)
- Have previous labouring or offsiding experience (advantage)
- Be safety conscious and mechanically minded
- Enjoy working outdoors in physically demanding roles
- Demonstrate experience working in a remote location on a roster (preferred)
- Hold Standard 11 or GIQ induction/s (preferred)
- Hold Front End Loader/Telehandler/Excavator/Non-Slewing Crane qualifications ARII (preferred)
- Hold a Drilling Operations RII certification (preferred)
Our successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal communication skills, a willingness to live by Lucas’s 10 lifesaving rules and the ability to build relationships.
Please note: candidates without the minimum requirement of a HR truck licence will not be considered.
