Marine Inspection Service is structured to offer a wide range of Non-Destructive and Mechanical Testing Service. We specialise in Ultrasonic, Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Hardness and PMI for a wide range of industries.
Our Western Australia office is currently seeking an experienced Level II Technician qualified and certified in UT, MT. Certification in other methods are highly desirable. An individual certified to Level II shall have demonstrated competence to perform non-destructive testing according to established procedures. A competency / proficiency test will form part of the interview process.
The applicant shall be able to:
Setup and calibrate relevant non-destructive testing equipment
Perform and supervise tests
Read, interpret, and understand appropriate drawings, procedures, instructions, and operate all required equipment used in the NDT process.
Comply with, and understand, test procedures including the review of referenced specifications, standards and quality assurance instructions.
Understand the scope and limitations of methods and equipment used in reference to the items being inspected.
Comply with, and understand, safety regulations.
Consider the safety of the staff & general public, as well as the environment whilst performing non-destructive testing.

Strong safety awareness and discipline
A good standard of spoken and written English is required
The ability to work unsupervised is essential
Good attention to detail
Ability to communicate and work alongside colleagues
Education and Experience
ISO 9712 or equivalent Level II Qualification
Computer literacy and demonstrated high communication skills would be desirable
