Our Client:

Our client specializes in the Oil and Gas sector and are dedicated to efficient and sustainable development of natural resources all over the world. They are now looking for Graduate Geophysicists that will be based in Perth, they are looking for individuals who are looking to take their next step after university. The successful candidates will possess and apply broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of moderately complex assignments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Involved with taking charge of processing step (denoise, demult, regularization) or moderately complex reservoir characterization project.
• May provide suggestions to improve existing software, develop new technology, and improve the products and services offered
• Responsible for a processing step in an imaging project or moderately complex reservoir characterization project and follows all project management protocol and QC standards.
• Responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring processing/reservoir characterization job decks
• May mentor Junior Geophysicists in job setup and execution, QC of output, and time management
• Works with Project or Team Leaders to ensure clients are happy and satisfied with product

What you’ll need:

• Preferably a PhD in Physics, or Masters in Mathematics, Engineering, Geosciences, or other analytical discipline
• Able to work on moderate to complex issues.
• Can take charge of a processing step (denoise, demult, regularization) / moderately complex reservoir characterization project, receiving guidance, learning these techniques in more deep and managing her/his time and the resource to ensure that this step/project is performed on time as per the project schedule.
• Plans and monitors most aspect of own work on project to ensure meeting internal production deadlines.
• Entry level professional contributor on a project or specialty work team.
• Geophysicist possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of moderately complex assignments.
• Confident in using available software, tools, and techniques in more advanced applications.
