Westgold is currently the 6th largest domestic gold producer in Australia, currently producing ~300,000oz per annum of gold and has production expanding to well over 400,000oz per annum. The Opportunity:
- Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor
- 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster
- Surface operation
Your Experience, Skills & Attributes:
- Diagnose faults, inspect and test equipment in a fixed plant environment and determine repair action required.
- Routine inspections of fixed plant equipment and carry out preventative measures.
- Fault-finding, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation components of process equipment such as electric motors, variable speed drives, generators, motor starters, HV reticulation system, Valves, Pressure, Level, Flow transmitters, PLC control system
- Maintain a high safety awareness and comply with Company Policies and procedures.
- Must hold an A Grade Electrical Licence with no restrictions
- Certificate IV Engineering (Instrumentation) (desirable)
- Refrigeration Ticket (desirable)
- High Voltage Switching Ticket
- Experience in the repair and maintenance of process electrical equipment
- Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques
- A sound working knowledge of processing plants electrical - crushing, milling, CIL, elution circuits and remote pumping systems
- Minimum 3 years in an electrical mining environment
