About us
The Australian Drilling Systems (ADS) Group manufactures and operates specialised underground directional drilling equipment. We offer complete drilling solutions that have our equipment and personnel engaged at many leading mine sites both in Australia and around the world.
The role
Based at our Narrabri site contract you will be responsible for all WHS compliance, system management and training.This is a highly autonomous role where experience is essential. Drive in drive out with accommodation provided. 4.5 hours North of Newcastle. Relocation incentives also available.
You will provide direction to all levels of staff in relation to health and safety matters, completing audits, risk assessments and drive the goal of zero harm and continuous improvement.
You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A thorough understanding of WHS legislation, systems and compliance.
- Certificate IV in WHS and / or at least 2yrs experience in a similar role.
- Previous coal experience highly regarded.
- An ability to work collaboratively with others.
- An understanding of mine safety and capacity to identity, design and deliver training needs.
- Ability to interpret and apply WHS legislation
- Excellent communication and employee engagement skills essential.
