About the role
Location: Site based at Carrapateena
Roster: 8 days on 6 days off; travel 100% on company time from Port Augusta or Adelaide.
Reporting to: Processing Manager

The senior plant metallurgist is accountable for supporting the operations team to safely achieve production targets for the process plant while having a strong cost focus.
Key responsibilities
The Senior Metallurgist - Plant will focus on ensuring the value of Carrapateena is maximised. Specifically, this includes:
- Supporting the operations team to safely achieve production targets while having a strong cost focus.
- Ensuring key tasks such as metal accounting and production planning are completed to a high standard and in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Identifying and implementing innovative process improvement projects and strategies to enhance the overall value chain between the mine, mill and concentrate sales.
- Managing external stakeholders while at all times acting with integrity and honesty.
Applicant requirements
This role requires a values based individual with a desire to deliver best practice outcomes with skills and personal attributes including:
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years metallurgical experience in base metal concentrator operations including grinding, flotation and dewatering.
- Proven capability to successfully deliver plant improvements involving competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
