Minjar Gold Pty Ltd is an emerging gold producer with operations in Western Australia and in Queensland. The company has an active growth strategy in place to develop into a mid-tier producer and has exciting opportunities available across the operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Process Leading Hand to join us at our Southern Cross mine site in a permanent role on an 8:6 roster, bus in, bus out (BIBO) from Perth.

Reporting into the Process Supervisor, the role is responsible for assisting with the coordination of process operations and supervising and training the process teams to safely operate plant components in a cost effective and productive manner.

Essential experience will include:

Minimum of 5 to 7 years in a gold processing plant which will include:

• CIL (Tanks) Circuit
• Milling Circuit
• Crushing
• Elution, Gravity and Gold Room Circuit
• TSF and water management

Essential skills, qualifications & personal attributes will include:

• The safe operation of crushers, conveyors, grinding mills, CIL leach tanks, pumps slurry flows, elution, gravity, gold room, TSF and water management

• Experience with ROM, Crushing, SAG and Ball Milling circuit, CIL (tanks) circuit
• TSF and water management experience highly advantageous.
• Elution and Gold Room experience highly advantageous.
• Current WA driver’s license (preferable HR)
• Ability to encourage, support and motivate team members.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work though obstacles to find appropriate solutions.
• Ability to manage and work though changes in the workplace.
• Computer literacy including Excel, Word and plant Control Systems
• Working at heights tickets
• Confined spaces tickets

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Operate the mill and related support systems including reagent storage,  identifying maintenance requirements, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
• Monitoring equipment on an ongoing basis to ensure safe and cost efficient operations
• Reporting and rectifying any variances to production targets to minimise interruptions to the process to maximise production
• Conduct regular sampling, testing and quality control activities
• Perform or supervise completion of minor repairs.
• Monitor work areas on an ongoing basis to assure a safe and cost efficient operation.
• Ability to react quickly and efficiently in emergency shutdowns and power failures.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, confidentiality and environmental policies.
• Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.
• Work without significant risk of harm to self and others.
• Perform other related functions as assigned by Mill Supervisor and/or Superintendent
