Australian Ilmenite Resources PtyLimited (AIR), the operator of the SILL80 ilmenite heavy mineral sands projectin the Roper Valley, is looking for a qualified mechanical fitter or similarly qualified person to hold the deputy position to AIR’s Mechanical Super intendentand to manage those duties on an alternative roster.
The project is situated 550 km SSE of Darwin and 130 km east of Mataranka and operates on a flexible roster systembut this is essentially 3 weeks on and 1 week off in any 4-week period.
The position reports to the Mechanical Superintendent and will be a salaried position following a 3-months trial period.
The successful candidate will have
1.An appropriate trade qualification
2.More than 5 years’ heavy mobile equipment maintenance experience
3.Be capable of planning and implementing maintenance schedules
This position would suit someone with a proven track record of being able to manage a small team of trades people and plant operators and experience in keeping a mineral project operating in are remote location.
