Overview

The successful Project Quality Manager functionally works within the QHSE Department and will have a technical background with a keen interest in technical details. The Project Quality Manager should have experience in encouraging and inspiring project teams to prevent quality incidents and to work effectively and efficiently and in compliance with the applicable procedures, rules and regulations.
General Description
- Conduct all activities and tasks in accordance with corporate objectives
- Become familiarised with and comply with company management system;
- Support and actively participate in the continuous improvement of company management system and project specific procedures within the scope of the job
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment for employees and contractors
Job Specific Tasks
- Support the Project Manager and Project Managers with implementation, maintenance, revision and improvement of project specific procedures.
- Monitor regulatory changes for impact on operations.
- Prevent occurrence of nonconformities relating to product, process and management system.
- Manage project activities to ensure compliance with the quality requirements. As described in management system, specific tasks include
- Monitor internal disciplines and control subcontractors/suppliers so that agreed objectives are met, instil ownership and accountability of internal disciplines and suppliers
- Ensure provision of customer service, by judging value to the client of the scope under supervision.
Experience & Education
- BSc / MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
- Formal training as lead auditor for ISO9001:2015
- Training or experience in HSE Management, Project Management, Negotiating and Contract Management.
- 10-15 years relevant experience in Project Management or Quality Management in the offshore, petrochemical or merchant marine industry
- Experience with QHSE management systems, root cause analysis and formal auditing.
