NRG Gladstone Operating Services (NRGGOS), a wholly owned subsidiary of NRG Energy Inc; operates and maintains the 6 unit, 1680MW Gladstone Power Station; Queensland's largest single power station.
NRG currently have an opportunity for an Electrical/Instrumentation Fitter Mechanic role within the electrical maintenance workgroup and invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply.
As a member of the electrical maintenance workgroup you will work within a team that promotes and maintains a safe working environment and your role will focus on the following:
- Carry out maintenance activities to provide appropriate level of availability and reliability of electrical processes, plant and equipment
- Providing timely and quality response to breakdowns
- Providing technical input into planning and recommending improvements to standards, procedures and systems.
Essential Qualifications and Attributes include:
- Relevant Trade qualifications (Electrical Fitter Mechanic)
- Experience in power stations or heavy industry, together high voltage equipment would be highly regarded
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control is preferred but persons with Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control and extensive practical experience in Instrumentation in heavy industry may apply.
