Reporting to the Head of Facilities Maintenance, you will coordinate the repairs and maintenance of the United Fuel and LPG pumps, lines and tanks across our national network.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of repairs and maintenance of United’s Pumps and Tanks for Retail Sites;
  • Appointing, monitoring and supervision of subcontractors delivering maintenance, renovations and general upgrades/ building works across selected states;
  • Responsible for ensuring work is undertaken in compliance with relevant statutory requirements;
  • Liaising with external stakeholders including: Franchisees and Commission Agent’s;
  • Managing quotes, invoices and general work order administration;
  • Managing the work estimated and plans to ensure the project is delivered within budget and provide direction to subcontractors to ensure work is delivered as specified in the work order;
  • Review completed work orders assuring quality scope and specification met;
  • Inspection and sign off on completion of works;
  • Assist in development of in-house software systems and preferred supplier database;
  • Maintain OH&S on-site to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Responsible for delivering multiple projects in a high-pressure environment;
  • Managing various work orders and projects relating to Repairs and Maintenance, small works and other facilities related repairs;
  • Liaising with internal Property, Real Estate, Construction, Signage and R&M staff;
  • Auditing all supplier quotations to enable processing for payment upon completion of works; and
  • Scheduling preventative and reactive, maintenance via in-house database for all services in a retail petroleum environment.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in Petroleum, oil and / or gas industries.
  • Must be willing to work on Saturday mornings and also be on call after hours on a rotational basis.
  • Computer skills - MS Office, email, Access.
  • Numeracy & pricing awareness, quotations teamed with Commercial savvy.
  • Ability to read building plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • You must be a team player and have the ability to manage competing priorities and be proactive.
