Leading a highly-skilled dispersed team, the Group Manager Operational Excellence is responsible for delivering operational excellence supporting all businesses within the global portfolio.  This includes;
  • Living and promoting a Zero Harm ethos to all employees, contractors and consultants
  • Leading a 24/7 team of 20 with six direct reports who are charged with monitoring all aspects of the Global portfolio
  • Ensuring the current control rooms are efficiently maximised whilst maintaining global OHS&E, commercial and regulatory obligations
  • Preparation of regular reports and analysing data on business performance to corporate and regional stakeholders
  • Effectively schedule maintenance and follow-ups including completions and shut-downs
  • Manage technical support to the Global business where expertise is required to optimise station performance
Reporting to the COO this position is rare and unique for Brisbane.  To be considered for this opportunity you will;
  • Be a tertiary qualified professional ideally with an engineering or control systems discipline
  • Have proven leadership skills within a cross-functional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve saving targets through effective leadership of a controls environment while ensuring Zero Harm remains paramount
  • A sound knowledge of asset management and experience working with large amounts of data
  • An adaptable communication style with the ability to influence and negotiate across global geographies
  • Significant commercial experience and strategic ability
  • Power Generation industry experience highly desirable with a working knowledge of SCADA, however not essential.
This position is regarded as a critical role to the ongoing safety and performance of all assets globally. The successful candidate will provide a significant amount of direction, data and advice while managing complex projects and operational budgets.  Success of the appointed candidate will be the ability form close working relationships with the executive leadership team and regional stakeholders across a multi-disciplinary organisation. 
  
On offer for the successful candidate is a generous salary package with a performance related bonus.  The ability to travel nationally and globally is a requirement of the role.
