The Role and Requirements
Cape Australia is currently seeking experienced Trade Assistants to assist with painting and blasting duties for work at an ongoing maintenance contract in Henderson, south of Perth.
This role will be working Monday to Friday with overtime as required and possible shift work. To be considered for this role you will be required to live locally and available for an immediate start to undertake site specific training assessments. These positions will provide successful candidates an introduction to the paint & blast industry, with ongoing site training to further develop your skills and provide career opportunities.
- Commencing on-site, Monday 16th July 2018
- Working a minimum of 38 hours per week
- 6 months continuous work with the possibility of a full-time position
- Overtime and shift work allowances apply
Please note; accommodation, relocation or FIFO is not provided. Applicants must be based residentially in the Perth local areas.
To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in a painting/blasting role with knowledge of applying a 2-coat system would be highly desirable however not essential
- Previous experience in marine or fabrication yards is highly desirable, however not essential
- Work will primarily be performed in confined space areas; Applicants must be comfortable working within this environment
- Applicants must be 18+ years and hold Australian citizenship
- Hold a current and valid drivers licence
- Provide a National Police Clearance issued within 3 months
- Hold a nationally accredited Confined Space Entry qualification
- Hold a nationally accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card)
- Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
