The Central Murchison Gold Project is centrally located in the Murchison gold province, approximately 600 km northeast of Perth. The Murchison Province is the current focus of significant underground and open pit gold development activity in Western Australia. Several projects within a 100 km radius of the CMGP are currently in construction, commissioning and production.
In June 2017, as part of the company's expanded growth profile, WGX purchased the Tuckabianna Operations (located 30km east of Cue in the Murchison District of WA).
With a strong 10+yr LOM for Tuckabianna, recently refurbished of the circa 2012 1.4Mtpa Plant, a strong 8.5M ounce Resource base within 100km radius of the Plant, excellent Cue based camp and recreational facilities, as well as an expanded company growth profile - now is the time to join our team.
These positions are offered as FIFO from Perth, or residential from Meekatharra on a 2 weeks on; 1 week off roster.
The preferred candidates will have the following experience and attributes:
- Proven track record of operating a Milling circuit, CIL and Crushing circuit
- 2 years Gold experience in a similar role
- Some experience in process control and SCADA systems (CITECT)
- Experience in operating gold processing fixed plant
- Cert II qualification or higher in Mineral Processing
- Competent to operate small mobile equipment such as forklift or skid steer loader
- National Police Clearance
- Current "C" class manual drivers licence.
The purchase provides for a fifth Processing plant in the extensive Westgold portfolio which now stretches from Higginsville (60km north of Norseman) up to Fortnum (200km north of Meekatharra) with a total annualized production of 6.5Mtpa.
