Hunter Valley Operations moves in excess of 114 MBCM of material per annum with a fleet that includes two draglines and three rope shovels, supported by a fleet of excavators & haul trucks. Located in the Hunter Valley, NSW, this site offers great career and lifestyle benefits.
We are seeking a Supply Superintendent to join our team at HVO. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the site Warehouse and Procurement teams, with four direct reports.
Responsibilities of this role will include;
- Provide expert, strategic procurement advice to stakeholders and use your knowledge and insights to influence project directions/key decisions
- Act as a trusted procurement business partner by proactively driving stakeholder relationships to deepen business insights and influence
- Warehouse & Logistics management, ensuring timely delivery of inventory and efficient stock management
- Leadership of the Purchasing officers and compliance with policies
Identifying areas of continuous improvement and proposing/implementing corrective action
To be successful in this role you will;
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a business/commerce or related field
- Previous demonstrated experience managing mining (preferred) related contracts, scopes of work, tendering, evaluation, contracts administration and monitoring, procurement, variations and document control.
- A safety-first approach and continuous improvement mindset
- Have superior communication
- Be a strong influencer, negotiator and demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Apply commercial acumen to decisions
