About the Role
Reporting to the State HSEQ Manager, your role in our HSEQ team will be prompting our strong safety culture by ensure we are meeting and maintaining health and safety compliances to the highest standard and to identify and/or execute continuous improvement projects within the HSEQ function.
Duties
- Support the team on incident management and investigations
- Promote the industry best safety practice
- Coordinate internal and external audits, assurance and compliance activities
- Coordinate fitness for work programs including fatigue management
- Support Operations on daily safety related matters
- Coordinate HSE risk management practices
- Lead injury management practices and coordinate workers' compensation claims
- Assist in development and delivering learning and education activities
- Coordinate the Controlled Waste Process
- Develop and provide reports on HSE KPIs and statistics analysis
Skills and Experience
- A degree or diploma in OHS or similar
- Strong experience in injury management and return to work
- Experience in facilitating incident investigations
- Sound knowledge and understanding of transport and logistics HSE principles and awareness of both national and state relevant laws
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Sound computer skills
- Highly organised and motivated
- Ability to work as a team player
- Demonstrated experience with managing Dangerous Goods compliance
