About the opportunity

There is an opportunity to join the Planning and Contracting team located in Melbourne for 6 months. The Senior Contracts Manager – Service Delivery is responsible for providing Contract Management support to the Service Delivery functional group. The Senior Contract Manager – Service Delivery is accountable for the ongoing management of allocated strategic and complex contracts, established to deliver outcomes that effectively meet Service Delivery objectives.

The Senior Contract Manager will:

• Manage established contracts for goods and/or services to ensure the delivery of outcomes in line with contract objectives and customer requirements;
• Monitor contract performance and compliance in accordance with the contract, contract management plan, risk management plan and organisational policies and procedures;
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders and vendors including effectively managing contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks and undertaking negotiations with vendors as required;
• Research and analyse contract related information including vendor contract reporting, and provide reports regarding contract activity and performance;
• Work with the Business and Vendors to develop contract forecasts;
• Undertake SAP Contract activities where required;
• Compose and maintain complex up to date contract documentation (including commercial management plans), procedures, data and records to ensure timely reporting;
• Establish, manage and close-out contracts in line with Jemena’s Contract Management Framework;

What we’re looking for

As the successful candidate you will bring the following skills and experience with you:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of the contract environment associated with utility businesses;
• Good understanding of the energy regulatory requirements
• Understanding of how business objectives are achieved through commercial and contract management;
• High energy, motivated and results driven individual;
• Ability to develop strong relationships built on knowledge, integrity and fair play; and
• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills including the ability to negotiate and influence to deliver results; and Organisational and self-management skills including the ability to quickly adjust, and to accommodate emerging priorities.
