About the role:
Reporting to the Superintendent Coal and Post Strip, your key role will be to supervise a production crew in the safe execution of the mine plan in accordance with operating standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes. This role is located in Peak Downs on a 6/6 roster.
Your key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Execute quality Field Leadership activities targeted at engaging with the workforce;
Lead safe execution through facilitation of JSA’s, Traffic Management Plans, signage, audits and compliance checks;
Understanding and execution of the mine plan in accordance with allocated dig/dump locations;
Input of defect notifications into SAP;
Reconciliation of each shift’s data;
Effectively communicate all pertinent information to stakeholders;
Manage a crew in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement, Charter Values, Code of Conduct
Continuous Improvement of production employees and initiatives;
Conduct thorough incident investigations targeted at identifying the root cause and developing actions to limit the likelihood of a repeat event;
Monitor compliance to design & schedule
The successful candidate will require:
A strong focus on Zero Harm leadership and continuous improvement
Strong communication leadership abilities
Relevant Industry Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of coal mining operations and mining methods
Extensive mining operations experience highly desirable
