Multiple positions for Mechanical Drafters with Piping experience based in Adelaide for contract and full time
Your new company
This company is a leader in development, engineering and implementation of large scale projects in the Resources, Oil & Gas, Water and Energy industries. They have provided a high level professional service to a range of clients in the sector for over 30 years and are looking for an experienced professional to join the Drafting team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the development and design of 3D models, drawings and associated documentation for concept and tenders. You will also be involved in the production of as-built 3D models and drawings to enable field technicians to perform maintenance, checks and repairs to plant over the asset lifecycle. All work will be carried out under the appropriate Australian and International Standards as well as all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years’ experience in 3D mechanical and piping design
- Tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline or trade
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD or Cadworx
- Thorough understanding of standard design and drafting practices
- Excellent understanding of relevant mechanical and piping codes including AS2885, ASME B31.3, AS4041
- Able to work independently with limited supervision on various projects
- Confident in ability and able to work to deadlines
