Mount Isa Mines Underground Copper Mine is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department. This exciting position would directly report to the Senior Electrical Engineer and is based residentially in Mount Isa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing electrical engineering support to the maintenance and operational departments
• Increasing equipment reliability
• Identification, implementation and facilitation of plant improvement projects
• Development of customer and supplier relationships

You will have the following skillsets and attributes:

• Electrical Engineering degree with 3+ years post graduate experience
• Heavy industry or mining experience preferred
• Project management experience in a brownfield operation
• Knowledge of, or exposure to; SCADA networking, variable speed drives, ABB and Allen Bradley PLC’s, large DC motors
• Solid standards compliance and auditing practices
• Logical thinker with the ability to solve problems and have the tenacity to work until a solution is found

• A proactive attitude toward safety and procedural compliance
• You will be a flexible individual who likes a challenge
