We have recently secured long term exciting projects with blue-chip clients which have resulted in growth in our industrial team.
Based in our Adelaide office, we are seeking an Electrical Design Drafter with minimum 7 years’ experience to provide drafting knowledge, utilising sound electrical design principles and specialist software skills for the preparation of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control drawings to support the project activities of a dynamic electrical engineering team.
You will be responsible for preparing and managing project drawings and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client focused attitude. You will understand the importance of the co-ordination of projects along with a commitment to the project and excellent time management skills.
A high level of experience in AutoCAD is required and also experience in MicroStation will be advantageous, but not essential. Experience across a diverse range of industries such as Power, Infrastructure, Water, Heavy Industrial, Mining and Automation will also be viewed favourably.
Key knowledge and design drafting skills that are required, include experience with power distribution, motor control circuitry and schematics, PLC’s and associated IO configuration, generation of Instrument loops, wiring connection and termination drawings, cable block diagrams and schedules. You will also be skilled at equipment layouts, panel designs, component selection and cable installation methods; including cable ladder and buried services.
As part of the Design Drafting role you will assist the electrical team in ensuring engineering drawings are in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, client technical specifications and industry best practice.
