Overview
We are seeking a supervisor to lead the Underground Control Room team at our Telfer mine, to ensure equipment tracking and materials handling are performed in line with best practice to achieve key business outcomes of safety and production.
Reporting directly to the Mine Superintendent your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the Underground Control function delivers to a high standard focused heavily on:
- Safety of all underground personnel
- Equipment tracking and data validity
- Materials handling and dispatch functions;
- Ensuring the capability of the team is developed to the required levels, and that safety is embedded in the team culture;
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders across all control room related activities;
- Process/personnel administration and data reporting;
- Undertaking data analysis to drive improvements in physicals and productivity.
This is a permanent position that will work on a FIFO roster (8 days on/6 days off or equivalent). The point of hire is Perth.

About You
Our ideal candidate will possess strong experience in similar supervisory roles within an operational environment. They will be well-versed in the use of computer based systems, and understand the fundamentals of best practice people and process management. A background of data analysis to drive improvement with proven results will put you in good stead. Finally, while it’s preferred that you have mining experience we will also consider applicants with other backgrounds.
