This is a unique opportunity to join the Business Energy & Solar team based in either Sydney or Melbourne. Reporting to the Retail Contracts Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Development and governance of commercial agreements, transactions and related matters across the customer-facing business of the Business Energy and Solar divisions and C&I sales
- Negotiation and preparation of business customer sales, NRC and solar supplier and partnership agreements for business customer acquisition and retention
- Management of the standard agreements used for all customer sales and related supplier/partner relationships
- Support the Retail Contracts Manager in the commercial development of new value-adding offers/products for Business Energy Customers
- Execution of actions to resolve high-value commercial disputes and issues
- Supporting the management of compliance across business units with all Origin corporate directives pertaining to commercial contracts and dealings
- Prepare commercial briefs/advice of benefits, risks and issues pertaining to proposed commercial agreements
Is This You?
You'll need to be commercially savvy, have high attention to detail and the ability to focus on robust processes and controls to manage customer contracts. You must also hold qualifications in a legal or commercial discipline.
- Commercial, risk, legal management or sales management in a relevant company and industry environment
- Applying commercial and risk management principles to provide pragmatic, results focused advice and decision support
- High attention to detail and focus on robust processes and controls to manage customer contracts
- Customer centric approach and the ability to balance commercial and customer needs to drive the right business outcomes
- Stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage and influence internal and external parties
- Dealing with internal or external legal advisers in developing standard and customer-specific agreements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Energy industry experience, especially with commercial and industrial customers
- Knowledge of and ability to apply contract law principles is desirable
