Production Drillers job in Adelaide for one of Australia's largest mining companies.
Your new company
Our client is among the world’s top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.
Your new role
The purpose of this position is to undertake production drilling activities within the drill and blast department to enable set targets to be reached in a safe and efficient manner.Duties include the drilling of downhole and uphole production blast holes, cablebolt holes,service holes and able to relieve in other positions as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven ability to complete tasks in a timely manner within allocated timeframes
- Demonstrated approach in adhering to work systems, procedures and standards at all times specifically in line with the Drill and Blast crew’s mine operating systems
- Experience in or significant exposure to underground drilling practices is essential
- Previous underground mining experience is essential.
- Previous experience in functional area is desirable, but not essential.
- Proven ability to demonstrate appropriate HSEC behaviours
- Ability to work effectively within the Olympic Dam operations and functional teams.
- Ability to communicate across multiple levels and discipline
- Manual drivers licence is essential
- Previous experience with Atlas Copco - Simba L6C Operation.
- In possession of, or able to obtain, 4x4 Light Vehicle, Front End Loader, Cat IT28, Mechanics Drilling, Solo Operation licenses , Tele- remote Drilling license
- Current blaster’s licence (or at least have or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance)
