Orvad (WA) are a growing and progressive scaffolding and mechanical services company working in the mining, construction and industrial sectors.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager the role oversees and co-ordinates the company team based Safety Program.
Based at our head office in Perth's southern suburbs the position involves some FIFO site work of short durations.
Some of the main responsibilities of the position:
- Promote industry best practise safety principles
- Oversee delivery of our HSE plan
- Co-ordinate HSE risk management process at all levels
- Support supervisors and site in daily safety related matters
- Co-ordinate and conduct HSE audit program
- Develop and report on HSE KPI's
- Incident investigation
- Deliver Safety training and HSE programs
- Work closely with Supervisors and the teams in promoting a strong Safety culture and working environment
Key Skills Required
To be successful in the role you will possess:
- Diploma or Cert IV in OHS as a minimum
- Relevant experience in mining or construction HSE roles
- A positive and proactive approach in promoting behavioural based programs
- Very good communication skills
- Audit and systems skills
- A team player
