As our next Assets Specialist - Reliability, based at our Office in Perth or Brisbane, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality of engineering solutions and results.

The purpose of your role will be to provide engineering solutions to reliability issues, monitoring mobile plant and equipment reliability data with a Global Approach to improve equipment MTBF, this will include working with our team to maintain high level of trucks reliability on our largest autonomous operations for Cat 793F in Australia. 

Some of your duties will include:

  • Understand the key environmental risks, controls and legislative compliance obligations associated with maintenance operations
  • Identify project-based opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce maintenance costs
  • Ongoing monitoring of plant & assets reliability and development of improvement strategies
  • Liaise with the Assets Reliability Lead to monitor, review, and update Fleet Reliability Processes
  • Standardise Reliability Reports and KPI’s
  • Identify operational factors that can impact equipment MTBF
  • Liaise with suppliers and OEM’s to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance work through enhanced reliability programs.
  • Communicate innovations and improvements to key stakeholders in relation to reliability programs.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, influencing outcomes where appropriate
  • Site visit on regular basis to provide support through reliability programs

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Trade qualification, engineering degree or equivalent qualifications and experience
  • 5 + years experience (onsite role) with mobile plant maintenance operations and large mining equipment is preferable
  • Proficient in MS Office and Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. JDE)
  • Knowledge of contract management, including subcontractors 
  • Knowledge and ability to utilise the OEM’s onboard monitoring system (e.g. Minestar, VIMS, Komtrak)
  • Highly effective communication skill
  • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent team player
  • Travel will be required in this role.
