Plant Supervisor | Oil & Gas | 12 Month Contract

Altablue are currently seeking an experienced Plant Supervisors to join its global Oil & Gas client. The role will commence on an initial 12 month contract with view to become a permanent employee.

The primary responsibility for the role is to lead and manage a team of operations personnel to achieve production and maintenance plans in a safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound manner and work with other plant supervisors to ensure overall business outcomes are optimised.

The Role

• Visibly lead, support and communicate corporate values, policies, practices and goals
• Maintain Plant operations to ensure process, sales and inventory are within defined specification
• Ensure Plant operation is conducted within environmental parameters and with due regard for minimal public disruption.
• Conduct daily Toolbox meetings and regular, reported Safety Meetings.
• Encourage pro-active safety attitudes and behaviours by all employees.
• Conduct periodic visual checks/audits of Plant areas for potential safety hazards, equipment problems, and potential equipment or system failure
• Demonstrate leadership, commitment, and accountability for a sound controls environment by day-to-day actions, behaviour, integrity, business decisions, and by personal, direct involvement
• Ensure that corporate systems are implemented on site and that performance is stewarded and improvement plans developed for identified gaps
• Meet operating stewardship targets (Opex, Capex, Environmental, Volumes)
• Liaise and assist when required with Plant Surveillance Engineering, Maintenance personnel, and Construction groups to advance improvement opportunities and to assist in the timely completion of the Work Schedule.

About You

• Strong experience in a similar role ideally within the Oil & Gas industry
• Operations, maintenance or engineering background preferred
• Strong Operations background along with good troubleshooting skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good personnel management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Ability to recognize improvement opportunities within the Operations field.
• Availability and flexibility to work on a rotating roster including weekends and being on call.
• Must be willing to re-locate to Longford for the position.
