Reporting directly to the Superintendent, you will need to facilitate the operation of the mine site, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency and achieving productivity and cost targets. Ideally you will have previously worked in the mining industry and have supervised teams and managed operations and production. This will be a drive in drive out role, arriving to site Monday morning and leaving Friday afternoon. Some Saturday work may be required when production needs require it.

Key Criteria

• Recognised mechanical qualification is ideal but not essential
• At least 5 years’ experience working in the mining industry with 1 of these being in a supervisor role
• Previous experience as a supervisor faciliating the production and operation of a mine
• Previous experience with leading teams and managing contractors
• Proven ability to create and implement policies, systems and procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain successful relationships
• High levels of time management and organisational skills to assist with managing multiple priorities and meeting targets
• Basic understanding of finances to assist with working to set budgets
• Must hold a full Australian Drivers licence and have reliable transport
• You must be either an Australian citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
