Our Operations Geotechnical Engineer role:
This position is within the Underground Mining Technical team and is an opportunity for a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to make a key contribution.
You will be monitoring all geotechnical aspects of the cave operations, excavation stability and cave back propagation. This will include monitoring the stability of the general underground excavations while providing recommendations for remedial requirements, alongside undertaking geotechnical mapping and modelling.
This is a permanent role on a Monday to Friday roster which is perfect to promote a great work life balance for the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will possess the following essential criteria:
• Geotechnical Engineering degree or other closely related discipline
• Previous experience in the geotechnical aspects of underground mining projects
• Experience reviewing and interpreting geotechnical monitoring information
• A solid understanding of mine geotechnical processes
