The Client

Our client is Australia’s largest coal miner and exporter, the world's largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines. The Role

WorkPac are currently seeking experienced Laboratory Technicians to join one of their busy clients in their wash plant department on a minesite in the Bowen Basin. The roster is a lifestyle roster working 12.5 hour shifts. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting onsite coal sampling, preparation and analysis. Reporting of analysis results to key stakeholders. Uploading of results into site reporting systems.
Conducting regular housekeeping of laboratory area. Conducting other duties as required within and as directed by the wash plant Supervisor

The successful applicant must have: 

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Effective communication skills with a high level of customer services
• Previous experience with site information reporting systems
• KM / Hummingbird Experience
• Current Coal Board Medical - Section 4
• Standard 11
• Drivers Licence
