An opportunity has arisen for our client who are one of the leading renewable energy providers, focusing on revolutionising and redefining the way sustainable energy sources are harnessed across the world.The role
This role would suit someone who is currently a highly experienced QHSE Advisor ready to step up, or a current Manager who can add value at that level.
Reporting to the Australian CEO, the QHSE Manager, will provide timely, accurate service and facilitate QHSE issues in order to achieve sustainable improvement in quality, health, safety and environmental operations within their respective region.
This role will actively contribute to the overall QHSE development and growth, with the main objective of Zero Harm in the workplace.
Duties to include
- Support head office QHSE governance and functions
- Directly interface with project teams, providing advice and guidance
- Provide direction, coaching and mentoring to interstate QHSE Officers
- Conduct proactive project and site audits to ensure compliance
- Assist with external audits as required
- Influence and advise to ensure QHSE is embedded as business as usual
- Facilitate and lead the investigation process where necessary
- Provide a key support function from Contractor to Board level
- Maintain robust relationships both external and internal
- Undertake and support regulatory and operational audits as required
- Ensure reporting requirements are upheld
- Support safe behaviours through proactive safety conversations and visible leadership
- Energy, Utilities or Service experience preferred
- Sound working knowledge of legislation
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Diploma OHS/ Environmental/ Quality)
- Excellent organisational and planning skillset
- Strong analytical and planning skillset
- Well-developed written and verbal communication
- Exceptional team player, strong ability to build robust relationships
- Self-motivated, adaptable and flexible personality
- Outcome focussed and solutions orientated
- Sound training and presentation skillset
- Influential, coaching, mentoring nature
- Sound computer skills i.e. Word and Excel
- Thorough understanding of ISO14001 and OSHAS18001
