As the Inspector of Mines Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of safety inspection activity across the Western Australian mining sector.
Your experience and HSE mine knowledge will be a valuable addition to the team as you design, develop and implement procedures and resource planning to drive continuous improvement of the WA safety management reforms.
Key Criteria
- Degree or relevant experience to the mining industry
- Experience and technical knowledge of the Australian mining industry and thorough knowledge of OHS with a mining focus
- Understanding Australian Standards relating to mining, mining safety and health issues
- Experience in the development of strategies for improvement of safety and health outcomes in the mining industry by building and sustaining constructive, effective and positive working relationships with people at all organisational levels and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to prepare technical and other detailed reports appropriate for legal processes
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and team building to encourage high performing teams in a multi-disciplined environment
- Ability to take undertake complex tasks without direction
- Current Western Australian “C” class drivers licence, or equivalent
- The successful applicant must be willing to relocate to Kalgoorlie
- Applicants must reside in Australia and have current Australian work rights. Due to this role requiring local experience visa sponsorship is not available.
