The Conoco Phillips Darwin LNG Plant has been in operation supplying Liquefied Natural Gas to the Japanese market since 2006.  Downer, as the maintenance contractor, provides support and resources to Conoco Phillips to ensure the successful completion of planned core, project and shutdown maintenance activities.

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified person with a background in Electrical and Instrumentation for an Implementation Specialist role. 

 

The DLNG Implementation Specialist is responsible for providing implementation services for all on site activities required to ensure the effective and efficient execution of minor and major maintenance activities as well as facility modifications.

 

Implementation services include development and preparation of defined engineering and maintenance scopes into executable field instructions to meet defined objectives, standards and timeframes (HSE, Schedule and budget).  These instructions maybe executed by others or under your direct supervision.

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Execute DLNG modification projects from detailed designs
  • Accountable for all aspects of execution including safety, productivity, cost vs budget and milestone achievement
  • Support rapid response to emergency implementation needs
  • Participate in constructability reviews for new projects and facility changes
  • Assist in conducting site surveys, scoping and planning
  • Attend and contribute to scope kick off meetings
  • Build out SAP work orders operational steps to show resource and materials requirements
  • Initiate ISSoW permit requests and facilitate permit readiness with Operations
  • Close out scopes inclusive of punch listing and facilitating “As Build”

 

 

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have a professional approach to working in a client/vendor relationship; possess excellent time management skills and proven planning skills on major projects or shutdown preparation ideally in an oil and gas, refining or other complex processing industry. 

The position holder must be able to demonstrate his or her ability to coordinate activities in a manner that ensures achievement of millstone targets while keeping teams highly motivated.

Mandatory qualifications and experience are as follows:

 

  • Solid knowledge of SAP in a maintenance environment
  • Sound computer skills; MS Word and Excel
  • Experienced in creating work pack schedules and technical writing
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in a multi-discipline operations environment
  • NT Electrical Licence
  • Cert III or IV in Instrumentation (III Preferred)
  • Cert IV Hazardous Areas
  • Valid and current working at heights, first aid, CPR, LVR and EWP licences
