The Company
  
Dacian Gold Ltd (ASX:DCN) has recently finalised construction and commissioning of its 100% owned Mt Morgans Gold Operation (MMGO) located near Laverton in the WA goldfields.

Mt Morgans is one of the largest new gold mines to be developed in Australia in over 6 years, and has now achieved a major milestone – the successful production of first gold from a newly constructed 2.5Mtpa CIL treatment plant. The maiden Ore Reserve of 1.2 million ounces, supporting an initial mine life of 8 years, will produce ore from both the Westralia underground and Jupiter open pit mines.  A new major discovery at Cameron Well has returned spectacular results, which further increases the potential of the project.

The Role

This opportunity is available on a short term temporary basis with an immediate start for three months.  
 
We are seeking to employ an experienced Geology Technician / Pit Technician to assist the geology team at the Mt Morgans Gold Project during this exciting phase of the project.  

Duties for this role will include: 

• Monitoring ore excavation to maximise recovery and minimise dilution
• Providing accurate records of ore mining activities
• Conducting ore mark-ups and prepare zones for mining
• Co-coordinating grade control activities
• Grade control drilling supervision
• Grade control sampling
• Assisting the mine geologists and production team with general duties as required

To be considered for this role, candidates will provide an employment history which is aligned with the duties (above) and the following general skills / qualifications;

• Driver’s license (C Class, manual car) - essential
• Microsoft Office skills
• 2+ years employment history as a Geology Technician / Pit Technician 
• First Aid Certificate (current)

This is a FIFO role working on a 2:1 continuous (Day Shift/Night Shift) roster cycle from Perth (or DIDO 2:1 from regional centres to Laverton).  

Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia.
