What's the opportunity?

We are currently searching for an Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent to join our Operational Readiness team to provide technical and strategic leadership across all site activities in relation to asset utilisation and plant operational targets. This role will proactively drive continuous improvements in electrical maintenance and manage statutory compliance requirements across the project.

The is a full time permanent role, initially based in Perth with a view of relocating to Parkes, NSW as the project progresses. Residents of Parkes (or surrounding areas) are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities include:

• Proactively improve the Electrical/Instrument Maintenance reliability framework from design through to implementation.
• Develop budgets and forecasts for electrical fixed assets and process control.
• Monitor the scope, timeframe and budget for contractor services.
• Authorise works in accordance with business requirements to ensure resources are utilised effectively
• Review Root Cause Analysis with Supervisors and ensure correct and appropriate follow up actions are taken.
• Plan, manage and monitor team activities and define performance expectations with clear team KPI's and deliverables.
• Lead Supervisors, Engineers, Technicians and Contractors to maintain and improve electrical/Instrumentation maintenance, electrical engineering, process control and High Voltage Maintenance.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure they remain informed and engaged.

What can you bring to the role?

• Previous experience in similar senior level role in mining or other heavy industry environment.
• Previous experience in Electrical/Instrument Maintenance delivery
• Experience in DCS Systems.
• Experience in High Voltage switching and all aspects of electrical HV statutory responsibilities.
• Tertiary Qualification in Electrical/Instrument Engineering or a completed Trade Certification in Electrical/Instrumentation.
• High Voltage Switching and High Voltage Maintenance.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a medium to large team environment   
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional workgroup.
• Able to hold all electrical licences for the operation under NSW legislation.
