Inventory Analyst – Our client is a well-established, international publishing company, synonymous for developing market-leading resources covering print, digital and mixed media, they boast an innovative product portfolio. This is a rare opportunity for an Inventory Analyst to play an integral role in the business’s overall success through the maintenance of inventory to an optimum level. Your role will include: monitoring and continual analysis of stock levels; analysis and recommendations for reduction of excess inventory; preparing and running the weekly inventory meeting including associated reports; reporting on inventory turns, availability, obsolescence and holding costs; liaising with shipping forwarders and suppliers; maintaining database accuracy of information including title information and release dates; supporting Marketing and Sales with pricing, pricing changes or stock reports; inventory and logistics reporting; continuous improvement initiatives to reduce excess inventory levels; stakeholder liaison with Production, Marketing, Sales etc.
As an Inventory Analyst, you'll communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Exercising your exceptional Excel, database and inventory analytical skills, you’ll be someone who can actively think outside the square and look for continuous improvement in all areas. As an Inventory Analyst you must possess:
- At least 5 years’ recent experience, having worked in a similar, Inventory Analyst position in a large business/managing a large number of SKUs (either in publishing, retail, FMCG, pharmaceuticals etc)
- Tertiary qualifications
- Exceptional computer and software skills including Excel, spreadsheets, databases and the Microsoft office suite
- A friendly, professional communicative style, coupled with strong written skills and personal presentation
- A solutions-driven approach, a meticulous eye for detail and continuous improvement, and solid time management skills
