This role will support and execute UA’s overall brand and channel merchandising strategy.  Core responsibilities will include ranging, channel & range segmentation, pricing strategy and go-to-market operational effectiveness across all channels.

The role will be ultimately accountable for sales & margin results in region through both our wholesale and retail channels, so the successful incumbent will need a solid understanding of both landscapes and be driven by commercial outcomes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide market analysis and insights to Regional Merchandisers as inputs to the seasonal Business Plan, incorporate the following:
    • Market Trends (positive & negative)
    • Financial outlook by Category
    • Volume & SKU count projections to drive productivity
  • Make meaningful inputs to the assortment selection process to maximize productivity & profitability
  • Define, together with the sales channels, the product & channel segmentation strategy on a seasonal basis, securing differentiation across channels and wholesale partners
  • Ensure alignment between Merch Plan and Long-Range Financial Target
  • Communicate potential target adjustment opportunities as they arise
  • Manage pricing strategy

Critical Skills/Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4-7 years of experience in planning, buying, replenishment or related fields
  • Strong aptitude with retail math and forecasting methodology
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated competency in developing strategic projects from scope through definition, work planning, execution management and measurement
