Eden Gardens Carseldine, Enriching People’s Lives with Plants. Destination Lifestyle & Plant Nursery including our very own Dragonfly Café.. Our nursery contains a carefully selected collection of plants, from hardy natives to indoor plants, ornamental perennials to trees, cacti and veggies. Our aim is to educate, inspire, enable and engage our customers.
We are seeking honest, bright, friendly & motivated personalities to join our special Green Team. This role full time, and is initially for a 6 month period with the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate/s. To join our special ‘Green team’ you must, be a qualified horticulturist and be able to demonstrate:
- Exceptional plant identification knowledge and use
- Strong ability to diagnose pest & disease and treatment options
- Experience and credibility for plant buying
- A strong understanding of garden design or experience as a landscape designer
- An endless drive to assist customers with plant knowledge and contemporary garden advice
- Desire and proven ability to sell plants and allied products, and meet sales targets
- Professional customer service and practiced communication skills
- Understanding of retail standards, merchandising techniques including digital .
- A high level of creativity, energy and enthusiasm with a ‘can do’ attitude
- A preference for the outdoor retail environment and prior retail experience
- Experience managing team members
- The ability to train and guide team members under your supervision
You will be responsible for maximising sales opportunities, be passionate about building customer relationships and with your enthusiasm engender the value, importance and appreciation of plants linking home with garden.
To be successful you must be available to work a roster through the week and including at least one day on the weekend.
