Your new role
Following an exciting period of growth, success and transformation; our client is seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to join their organisation. The Merchandise Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our client’s long term product strategy to provide business growth. The Merchandise Manager’s role also entails establishing strong relationships with retailers and suppliers in order to offer a premium customer experience. The Merchandise Manager takes ultimate responsibility for all day-to-day Merchandising decisions and provides leadership and guidance to staff and stakeholders to ensure that all parties implement our client’s long and short term plans and that all accountabilities are achieved.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience as a Merchandise Manager or similar senior position in a retail or FMCG organisation.
- Previous experience overseeing buying, trading terms, new lines and promotional decisions on a large scale.
- Sound knowledge of change management and the ability to think and operate strategically as well as advanced problem solving and analytical capabilities.
- You will have an exceptional ability to negotiate, influence and engage stakeholders with the intent to elevate relationships to ensure business growth.
- Strong management skills and experience in presenting to large groups are essential requirements of the role.
