ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Planner, you will responsible for providing managerial leadership for a department(s) to create optimal mix and flow as well as optimizing store mix to maximize profitable sales. Builds effective teams through ongoing coaching, training and development of Associates.
This is a full-time position based at our Support Office in Banksmeadow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managerial Leadership and Talent Development:
- Operational and managerial coaching of a planning team to achieve: weekly shipping strategies; monthly inventory targets; sales targets.
- Maintains focus: keeps priorities clear and simple. Partners with manager to ensure department resources are aligned to meet the business needs
- Monitors business performance of multiple departments’ goals to achieve and align with company goals.
Strategic Skills: Planning & Analysis
- Executes sales and profit objectives. Implement business plans that reflect the merchandise strategy of the Department’s business vision. Helps to set direction, thinks for the future, displays global thinking and risk taking.
- Develop, implement, drive and monitor (unit and dollar) sales and inventory business plans that reflect the merchandise strategies and drive profitability for a group of departments.
- Anticipate, influence and challenge inventory flow within departments
Operational Skills
- New Stores: Set-up, ensuring team hits new store targets, monitors process and stay ahead of their needs.
- Monitors financial and unit open to buy
- Manages the flow of receipts ensure that the on order is accurate. Evaluates seasonality, prioritize critical need classification thru the Distribution Center
- Develops and manages class plans to ensure appropriate flow to all stores.

REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Buying/Planning experience highly regarded: business acumen, understanding of Ladder & financial plans and has market awareness.
- Managerial experience highly regarded
- Proficient in: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical
- Strong influencing skills
