ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Assistant Store Manager within this outstanding retailer, you will proudly "live and breathe" the culture of the business.
Engage and motivate your team in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the store. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will assist with the management of staff, manage the operations of the store and developing direct and indirect reports. Focuses on Operations to drive profitable sales and exceed customer expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership - create a working environment that encourages a team culture
- Team leadership, recruitment, training and development
- Sales performance - motivate and inspire the store team to achieve the store's targets
- Customer Service - lead by example to drive a customer-first culture, identifying coaching needs and conducting workshops
- Brand standards - ensure the team and store presentation is maintained to the highest of standards
- Oversees all functions related to opening and closing the store
- Accountable for all merchandising aspects of the store
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of company's approach to products and a passion for the brand
- Previous experience in a similar role in a fast paced/ high volume retail environment
- A drive to achieve store and individual sales budgets and KPI's
- Outstanding communication and computer literacy skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
- Demonstrated Retail apparel store leadership experience
- Proven ability to recruit, motivate, manage, and develop a large store team
- Have experience in recruiting, inducting and training new talent
- A hands-on, team-oriented approach
- A positive and inspiring role model
- A desire to challenge yourself to achieve company and personal objectives
- Able to multitask - balance customer care with daily duties
