About the Role
As the Branch Merchandiser Planner, you will report into the Head of Planning and work in partnership with the Support office Merchandising and Planning teams, as well as Retail Store teams supporting all aspects of stock management across our stores.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Manage all stock and sales by store, in line with sales and GM budgets
- Liaise and work closely with the Retail, Merchandise and Planning Departments to ensure allocations and consoles are managed effectively
- Review performance on a weekly basis and analyse post seasonal results and strategies, identifying any opportunities and risks
- Manage stock distribution and replenishment
- Monitor stock transfers and make recommendations based on store results
- Review store weekly sales and stock levels by department, brand and class to identify actions to be taken – repeats, markdowns etc and communicate with the buyers and Head of Planning
- Involvement with regular store visits alongside Regional managers and Store Managers.
- Work closely with Merchandise Planners and Assistant Planners to ensure allocations are complete in line with business requirements
- Work cross functionally between Planning & Buying team, Store Operations and Stores to influence and trade individual stores to achieve or better budget
- Support and Implement the strategy and vision for growth
Who you Are
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Merchandise Planning role
- Prior experience managing and developing a team of Planning employees
- Tertiary qualifications in related degree is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Hands on approach and able work across tight deadlines
- Ability to liase and build rapport with stakeholders at all levels
