My client is celebrating over 70 years as a fast growing retail business with a strong Australian heritage. They are known for niche retail showcasing their high quality and affordable natural fibre ranges of clothing, home wares and accessories.
They are seeking Buying Manager who has previous experience in consumer products who wants to take ownership of the buying process and be responsible for the planning and design team.
To be successful in this role you need to be passionate about delivering ranges that exceed both customer and business expectations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage product life cycle from concept, design, planning, production and sales analysis
- Range management to include:
- Category development
- Developing seasonal and core ranges with product developers
- Planning and allocation management
- Pricing and promotion strategies
The role requires:
- Proven experience working as an established Buyer / Product Manager in womenswear and/ or other products
- Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers and factories directly
- A high level of attention to detail with ability to multi task and prioritise across multiple departments
You need to be a risk taker, have strong commercial acumen (data driven), be a natural leader, clear communicator and results driven.
You are responsible for managing and achieving sales and margin targets across all product categories.
