An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially savvy Pricing Analyst to join our Business Pricing Team in a 12-month maternity leave position. Primary focus of the role would be to support our growing Business channel in acquiring and retaining customers and increase profitability by providing innovative and competitive data modelling solutions! To do this effectively, you will need to gain insights into competitor activity and develop and support our pricing and margin improvement strategies.
In this influential role you’ll support the development of Officeworks’s business pricing strategies, price setting and associated commercial analysis. Specifically, you will:
- Ensure Officeworks’ offer is positioned competitively in the market through effective data analysis
- Review and maintain existing pricing model and procedure
- Provide valuable insights to support quality pricing decisions that will enhance sales and profit growth
- Undertake competitor analysis to ensure that the business is best placed in the market
- Assist in tracking and measuring results
- Assist in various Projects where a Pricing view would complement the activities being undertaken
- Participate in pricing decisions for tenders and large opportunities
- Attend range reviews
About the Opportunity
You will work across several pricing matters and get to use your analytical skills and creativity to help make a difference for Officeworks’s customers. This role is ideally suited to an accomplished pricing analyst who is looking to grow and develop their career.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess a successful track record in using appropriate analytical tools. This will include advanced Excel modelling capabilities, familiarity with database analysis and experience dealing with large data sets. Ideally, you’ll have developed these skills within a pricing environment.
In addition to your technical knowledge and skills you will possess high level analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong commercial nous. More importantly you will possess outstanding interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills which enable you to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.
