About the Role

We currently have an incredible opportunity for a retail guru to join the Afends family at our Chapel Street store!

We’re looking for someone who has style and creativity to represent the Afends brand and our philosophy. Specifically, we need someone who is driven, goal-orientated and passionate about fashion. In addition, energy and excellent service that continually provides our customers with the best shopping experience is essential at Afends. Our Chapel Street store is not just your typical retail space, we have a dedicated gallery area where art exhibitions are held on a regular basis. Experience in the event industry or the ability to put on events would be a welcomed attribute.

Key job responsibilities:

 Achieving sales budgets and KPI targets
 Managing rosters and wages
 Training and mentoring staff
 Maintaining high level store presentation standards
 Motivating the team to achieve results and growth
 Monitor stock levels for stock movement allocation
 Implementing sale strategies
 Reporting weekly sales performance to Area Manager
 Management of Art Space

To be successful in this role you will need:

 Minimum 2 years experience in retail management.
 Excellent communication skills
 Strong time management and organisational skills
 Exceptional leadership skills
 Excellent Visual Merchandising skills
 Background in Events Industry (not essential but favourable)

There is room for the right person to shape this role to suit their experience. That being said, prior experience in retail and events management is considered very attractive! We are looking for the perfect person to start early August.
