To continue to deliver innovative solutions to the market they need a motivated Sales Assistant for their Canberra site.
Reporting to the Regional Manager you duties will include:
- Support the Sales Manager in relation to all sales functions and responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting all existing and potential customers
- Responsible for managing the visual merchandising of the warehouse
- General Housekeeping of the facility
- Ensure consistency of displays and sales expectations with guidance from the Sales Manager
- Ensure all customer orders are picked and prepared for individual customer requirements
- Contacting customers by phone for orders and overseeing the packing and delivery of orders
- Ensure appropriate invoicing and records are entered in the operating system
- Effectively liaise with customers about special orders, events and opportunities
- Effectively utilise resources to achieve sales targets and control costs
- Assist in the development and implementation of opportunities for systems and process improvements to achieve cost savings
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with customers and ensure products and service levels continue to meet expectations
To be successful in this position you will have worked in a busy sales environment either in retail or FMCG. You will have good knowledge of perishable goods and understand the care they need to be handled with.
You will be an exceptional communicator and get a ‘buzz’ from driving sales and exceeding customers’ expectations. You will have a full drivers licence.
