An exciting opportunity for a Macro Space Planner / Merchandising Assistant working in the Merchandising team has become available within the Corporate Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. 

 

The Macro Space Planner / Merchandising Assistant acts as a central point of communication between the Buying department and greater business in relation to category space planning.

 

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will have previous experience in Macro Space Planning. This role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of business operational procedures and reporting and analysis skills. Candidates with prior exposure using AutoCAD are highly regarded.

 

Selection criteria:

  • Prior demonstrated macro space planning experience.
  • Prior micro space planning experience highly regarded
  • Prior exposure using macro and micro space planning software programs is preferred.
  • Prior exposure using space planning software programs is highly regarded.
  • Strong reporting and analysis skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and IT literacy.
  • Prior experience in project management/implementation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability adapt in high stress situations.
  • Ability to learn new programs and processes quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of professionalism and dedication.
  • Ability to take on responsibility, work autonomously and be a team player.

Role responsibilities: 

  • Liaise with Property and Project teams in relation to store layouts and fixture requirements.
  • Coordinate macro space recommendations using AutoCAD software.
  • Create and update store shelving plans.
  • Coordinate in-store fixtures implementation.
  • Act as a central point of communication between the Buying department and greater business.
  • Database management.
  • Manage various merchandising projects as required.
  • Adhoc mico space planning responsibilities as required.
  • Be a collaborative team member and contribute to both buying and operational procedures.
  • Facilitate training as required.
  • Assist the Merchandising Director and Merchandising Manager in all administrative requirements.

 

This role reports to the Merchandising Manager.
