About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER to join their busy store at Highpoint City!
Working closely with the Store Manager, in this role you will lead and motivate your team while delivering world class customer service. Identifying how you can help maximise customer's lifestyle with appropriate eye wear and eye care. You will engage and influence your team by coaching, developing and inspiring them to be their best. Another big part of your role will be to insure that store standards are met within your merchandising and stock management skills.
To be considered for this role you will ideally come from an optical retail management background, however if not you will be self motivated and willing to learn about optical concepts. In reward for all of your hard work you will be given the opportunity to progress into a Store Manager position within the next 12-18 months, join a company that value their staff and have fun along the way and to top it off an attractive base salary plus the potential of earning extra with on target bonuses.
Skills and experiences :
- A strong background within retail management or long history working with premium retailers
- Optical experience highly regarded!
- A sound knowledge of premium eye wear brands and fashion trends
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive results through positive training and mentoring
- Flagship or experience working in a high turnover store
- Full operational skills that include stock management, working to set KPI's, wage management, merchandising and stock management
- The desire to continue to build your career
- A positive can do attitude and drive to maximise sales
