About Workscene
Established since 1977 we are a family owned and operated buiness. We sell specialised safety work wear throughout 10 retail stores in Sydney.
We provide products to government authorities along with the private sector and stock brands like Puma Safety, Blundstone, Steel Blue, Redback, Hard Yakka, King Gee, CAT Workwear, Bisley, and more.
Villawood store trading hours:
- Monday - Wed and Friday: 8am- 5pm
- Thursday - 8am - 6pm
- Saturday - 9am - 4pm
- Sunday 10am - 3pm
* You are only required to work either one Saturday or Sunday a week.

About the opportunity
This is a full time role reporting to the Area Manager, where you will lead a team of 3-5 sales staff in exceeding sales targets at our flagship store and head office store location in Villawood.
Specific responsibilities:
- Coordinate customer orders including managing embroidery and logos
- Store opening and closing operations
- Inventory control including liaising with suppliers
- Maintain a positive and productive team culture within the store
- Coaching and mentoring the team to build their sales and customer service skills
- Roster management
Skills and experience
- Prior experience as a Assistant Manager or Store Manager in a retail environment
- Previous experience exceeding sales targets and coaching a team
- Availability to work either one Saturday OR Sunday a week
