The Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Retail Business Manager will primarily be a Business Manager and coach to their portfolio of circa 14 Franchisees in both fuel and non-fuel sites, on all matters of franchise store operations.
As 7 Eleven continue to innovate and evolve within the convenience space, an organised, innovative, passionate and driven manager is required to further develop the relationship between corporate operations and the Franchisees.
The Retail Business Managers lead with an open and collaborative leadership style to not only assist them with their day-to-day jobs, but also offer personal and professional development as the primary caretaker of the relationship between Franchisees and Corporate Operations. They are responsible for ensuring that the standards of 7 Eleven are maintained and executed at store level.
Operationally, the Retail Business Manager supports the Franchisees to increase sales, profitability, customer experience and overall store compliance. This relies on the Retail Business Manager spending a large proportion of their time on the road visiting stores, as well as reporting up-to-date revenue and profit results. Additionally, identifying opportunities for improvement via individual store development plans, managing the relationship between Franchisees and Corporate Operations with the overall support, and coaching and mentoring Franchisees (including store staff) to improve store performance and standards as future world class retail organisation.
Skills & Experience
Strong analytical and numerical ability (Excel Essential and SAP preferred), coupled with high emotional intelligence, resilience advanced stakeholder influencing, and proven people management experience will provide the key ingredients for success in the Retail Business Manager role.
Experience within the Retail industry is essential and coming from the Food Retail or Petrol & Convenience industry will be a great advantage
